We are a mother and daughter team, the second and third in three generations of women who have become obese, figured out the cause of the problem, and turned our lives around. It wasn’t quick—it took a lot of hard work, dedication and patience, but together we’ve lost a combined total of two hundred pounds. We’re passionate about health, weight loss and fitness, and decided to start blogging about our journey. We hope to be able to reach out to people who are looking for help, and use our experience to ignite that drive, to kindle the power that will lead you to your own success.
We’re not certified dieticians or personal trainers. We don’t claim to be experts. All we can say is that wherever you are on your weight loss journey, one of us has been there. We’ll talk about facing the scale, changing the way we saw fitness, body image, our takes on diet fads, and how we manage at dinner parties, social events and vacations. We’ll be posting inspiring stories and mantras, as well as interviews with other people like you who are on their own journeys. We’ll also be sharing recipes and food choices we’ve made, as well as the products we’ve come to love.
So if you’re just starting out, if you’ve got a way to go or you’re thinking there’s no way you can accomplish this mammoth task, we’ve been there. If you’ve lost a lot of weight and then stumbled, we’ve been there, too. If you’re at goal wondering what to do next, how to stay on track and not fall back on bad habits, stick with us. We know what it’s like.
